This month you will focus on connecting with your heart, mind, and body. You will explore aligning your thoughts, words, actions, and emotions. You will learn a mindfulness practice to assist you in grounding your energy while connecting to infinite possibilities. This instrument will encourage you to step outside of your comfort zone. As you know, stepping outside your comfort zone may feel awkward, but within the unfamiliarity births new mindsets and opportunities. I will cover the reason for alignment, how to ask and listen to your body, how to start bringing awareness to your thoughts and invite you to create space to open your heart to the infinite possibilities awaiting you.

Soul Keeping

FIVE-MINUTE ME TIME: I invite you to take five minutes in the morning to connect with your heart and set an intention before you start your day. Also, set aside five minutes before bed to check in with yourself and reflect on your day. Put on some calming music, set your alarm, and begin to write.

DAILY CHECK-INS: Set three alarms on your phone that works best for you (for example, 10 am, 12:30p, and 3:30) to check in with yourself throughout the day. During this time, pay attention to your body and thoughts. SIDE NOTE: It is helpful to place one hand on your heart, connect with yourself, and take three deep breaths. How are you feeling? What thoughts come up? What emotion are you feeling?

DATE WITH YOURSELF: Yes, I said take yourself on a date! Set aside at least 30 minutes during the month for a personal date! Go for a walk, go to a movie, draw, or whatever will allow you time to be with yourself. This is about spending alone time with YOU, and you'll discover how liberating and fun it can be!

Here we go! I'm looking forward to connecting with all of you this month. You will receive a video for this upcoming week that will cover all the details about the affirmations. Later this month, you will receive a guided meditation, and an invitation to a zoom meeting for those who can attend. I hope to cover questions and discuss your thoughts and experiences about April's affirmations. There is no pressure. The zoom meeting is an opportunity to connect with individuals, explore new topics, hear different perspectives, and hey! You may expand your mindset as well. Yippee!

Self-inquiry and Reflection

Before viewing the video, take Saturday and Sunday to unearth the answers to the questions below. No pressure. This exercise allows you to begin the self-connection process and tune into your heart, body, and mind. Get to know yourself by finding ways to explore what is happening within. Before you begin this exercise, cut out any screen time for at least 20 minutes, grab your journal and a pen. To help yourself get into the flow, try a breathing exercise by focusing on your breath, or shut your eyes and explore your imagination.

Next, find a comfortable space, and inquire about how you can align your heart, body, and mind. What are the benefits? How would that feel? What does it mean to connect to your heart? Start paying attention to your inner voice, the thoughts playing in your mind. Are they kind or harsh? Does your mindset support your dreams? Do you notice how your thoughts impact your words and actions?

Get comfy & enjoy the meditation. The video is over 12 minutes long, so ensure you have the time and space to relax, go inward, and connect with yourself. Grab a journal for self-reflection after the meditation. Write down images, thoughts, or words that came through during the process.

Reflection Questions:

What was your body telling you? What did you discover by connecting with breath? What colors did you see? Where in your body did you feel discomfort? Where in your body did you feel joy? What are your gifts? Could you connect with the world and share your gifts? Why or why not?

I AM ONE WITH MY BREATH. PART ONE

Hopefully, you are doing well, dear one, and taking take of yourself! YOU deserve all the treasures this life has to offer you! This month you'll be focusing on connecting with your breath and body. Connecting with the basics, such as breathing and how your body responds to the environment, allows you to be grounded in the present moment. Enjoy the art and affirmations! A side note: I like to write the affirmations with a dry-erase marker on my bathroom mirror for a reminder.
